My last date at facebook, farewell to corporate life

I wrote my name on the facebook wall as a souvenir to myself. Wrote it in Chinese because this is how my name should be written.

This is a very special company that gave me a very special experience of life. But now it's time to move on. A corporate job and a lifestyle of security has reached its capacity to help me grow as a person. Its time to move on. As tough and unwilling as it can be, it is necessary.

According to Buddha, one of the 4 noble truth in life is impermanence. We are living in an ever-changing world where things come and things goes. No matter how much you hate the place, you know one day you will be free from it; no matter how much you love the place, you know one day you will no longer be there.

I knew that I would leave this company one day since the first day I started to work here. I thought I was prepared for that day, but over the years of working in this great environment has made me forgotten the principle of impermanence. I started getting used to things like we all do. I started taking things for granted like we all do. I started mistaking impermanence as permanence, like we all do. Now it is time to move on, although i little bit reluctant, it is the right thing to do.

From now on, I will be dedicated to building my own real estate business, i must work harder in order to succeed. And of course, I will have plenty of time to dedicate myself to my martial arts training too. There is no more excuses, no more false sense of security to fall back on. There is only a brand new horizon awaits me.

In order to have the success that others don't, you must be willing to go to places where other's aren't.

See you on the other end.
